Our focus is on social issues and human interest. Areas that we believe are still uncharted and not fully explored.
Our ambition is to present these important subjects through visually powerful films with a high cinematic and artistic quality.
The directors
In close collaboration, the director and producer form teams that create honest and important films. We find our talented directors both in Denmark and abroad. We believe it is important to give new talent a space in which they can grow and develop. They can find such a space here at Pausefilm.
Collaboration
On every project, the right team and partnerships are tailor-made in order to ensure that the films reach the audience effectively and can enjoy a long and useful life after the premiere. We have created excellent results by incorporating public and private organisations in our research, in order to achieve parity between the demand and the final product. At the launch of each new film we develop events, screenings and debate in the press, all depending on target group and our specific goals.
Partners
Our primary partners are European public service TV stations and Scandinavian film institutes. In addition, we have a strong network of important production companies in the Scandinavian countries. It is our clear goal to work towards a strong co-production network on all continents, in order to ensure our versatility and to bring our films to as wide an audience as possible.
